ASHRAE Standard 140 Resource Files

Section 11 Accompanying Files

The folder \Std140_AE_Files\Normative Materials contains the following electronic files for use with the Airside HVAC Equipment Performance Analytical Verification Tests of Section 11:

  • AE101.TM2: TMY2 weather data for -29.0°C/-29.0°C constant ODB/ODP
  • AE103.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 15.5°C/-3.0°C constant ODB/ODP
  • AE104.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 26.9°C/22.1°C constant ODB/ODP
  • AE105.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 24.9°C/2.4°C constant ODB/ODP
  • AE106.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 23.0°C/20.9°C constant ODB/ODP

    • (The format of TMY2 data is described in Annex A1 of the Standard.)

  • Std140_AE_Output.xlsx: Spreadsheet Standard Output Report for entering results. Instructions for the Standard Output Reports are included in Annex A2 of the Standard.

  • S140outNotes.TXT: Standard Output Report for entering modeling notes. Instructions for the Standard Output Reports are included in Annex A2 of the Standard. See S140outNotes_Examples.TXT (in the corresponding “\Informative Materials” subfolder) for example modeling notes.

The folder \Std140_AE_Files\Informative Materials contains the following electronic files for use with the Airside HVAC Equipment Performance Analytical Verification Tests of Section 11:

  • Std140_AE_FCSZ_Results.pdf: File with the example results as described in Informative Annex B16, Section B16.7.1 of the Standard.

  • Std140_AE_CVVV_Results.pdf: File with the example results as described in Informative Annex B16, Section B16.7.2 of the Standard.

  • Std140_AE_FCSZ_Results.xlsx: Spreadsheet that contains the example results indicated in Informative Annex B16, Section B16.7.1 of the Standard. New results can be added to this file and will be automatically included in the summary tables and figures to facilitate comparison with the example results. This file is described in Informative Annex B10.

  • Std140_AE_CVVV_Results.xlsx: Spreadsheet that contains the example results indicated in Informative Annex B16, Section B16.7.2 of the Standard. New results can be added to this file and will be automatically included in the summary tables and figures to facilitate comparison with the example results. This file is described in Informative Annex B10.

  • Std140_AE_Results.docx: Documentation for navigating Std140_AE_FCSZ_Results.xlsx and Std140_AE_CVVV_Results.xlsx

  • S140outNotes_Examples.TXT: Example modeling notes.

The subfolder \QAS contains the quasi-analytical solutions workbook (QASv2.xlsm; see instructions on the “ReadMe” tab). Informative Annex B17, Section B17.3.2 of the Standard includes further background information.

The subfolder \InputFiles_AE contains input files for the SSPC 140 participant results listed in Informative Annex B16.
