Section 8 Accompanying Files

The folder \Std140_GC_Files\Normative Materials contains the following electronic files for use with the Ground-Coupled Slab-On-Grade Analytical Verification Tests of Section 8:

• GC30a.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 10°C constant ODB, 40.0 m/s wind speed
• GC30b.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 10°C constant ODB, 19.9 m/s wind speed
• GC65b.TM2: TMY2 weather data for 10°C constant ODB, 1.0 m/s wind speed
• GC40a.TM2: TMY2 data for harmonically varying (10°C mean) ODB, 40.0 m/s wind speed
• GC40b.TM2: TMY2 data for harmonically varying (10°C mean) ODB, 19.9 m/s wind speed
• GC70b.TM2: TMY2 data for harmonically varying (10°C mean) ODB, 1.0 m/s wind speed
The format of TMY2 data is described in Annex A1 of the Standard.
• Std140_GC_Output.xls: Spreadsheet Standard Output Report for entering results. Instructions for the Standard Output Reports are included in Annex A2 of the Standard.
• S140outNotes.txt: Standard Output Report for entering modeling notes. Instructions for the Standard Output Reports are included in Annex A2 of the Standard. See S140outNotes_Examples.TXT (in the corresponding “\Informative Materials” subfolder) for example modeling notes.

The folder \Std140_GC_Files\Informative Materials contains the following electronic files for use with the Ground-Coupled Slab-On-Grade Analytical Verification Tests of Section 8:

• Std140_GC_Results.pdf: File with the example results as described in Informative Annex B8, Section B8.2 of the Standard.

• Std140_GC_Results.xlsx: Spreadsheet that contains the example results indicated in Informative Annex B8, Section B8.2 of the Standard. New results can be added to this file and will be automatically included in the summary tables and figures to facilitate comparison with the example results. This file is described in Informative Annex B10 (also see accompanying file Std140_GC_Results.docx).

• S140outNotes_Examples.TXT: Example modeling notes.

The subfolder InputFiles_GC contains:

• InputFiles_GC-Link.doc: Link to .zip file containing input files for the IEA participant results listed in Informative Annex B8, Section B8.2.

• README-BEFORE-VIEWING-INPUT-FILES.DOCX: Review this file before opening the input files.

• Within the linked .zip file, the following lower-tier subfolders contain input files used for the listed example results:
